The Lansdowne Bar & Diner - SOLD

CDLH, Scotland’s leading Leisure & Hospitality Chartered Surveyor, have sold the Lansdowne Bar & Restaurant in Glasgow’s West End, on behalf of the Stonegate Pub Company.

Alan Creevy, Director at CDLH, who handled the sale, commented, “We undertook a confidential marketing campaign on behalf of the Stonegate Pub Company and placed the Lansdowne Bar & Restaurant on the market at offers over £475,000.  As you would expect, there was considerable interest in the property, generally from experienced Scottish based operators, keen to capitalise on the property’s West End location”.

The Lansdowne Bar & Restaurant was acquired by Stonegate in 2015 as part of a larger portfolio sale but did not fit within their typical operating structure.  The Lansdowne, however, is somewhat of an institution within Glasgow’s West End, and is one of the go to venues, particularly for sporting and rugby events.

Alan Creevy commented further, “The property and business has been acquired by the owners of the Mother India Restaurant chain, who have plans for significant investment and repositioning of the business, which will undoubtably prove highly successful.
